submitted by Amanda W. - |Recommended: NoNot Happy — Moving in we had issues with urine smell from the previous tenant. We weren't given a tour of the apartment or even showed how to use the call box. We were handed keys and told to go. There was garbage left in the apartment that we took care of. I was recently told by staff that since we paid max deposit no more additional would be needed to add someone to the lease. Now Sandy is saying we have to pay 400 more on top of the 1500 we paid. I wouldn't recommend anyone live here. It is expensive, and we can barely find any parking and I get off work at 7pm. I hear everything from my neighbors including the yippy dogs barking diagonally below us. I have already made complaints and yet nothing happened. I would like someone from management to give me call. I am beyond frustrated with living here, and pay way to much money in rent to be dealing with smelly carpets, loud neighbors, no parking, and rude kids all over the complex and inside the pool area. 9714000832

submitted by Mary - |Recommended: NoFrustrated — For the past three days I have emailed the complex regarding an issue on going issue and have been ignored. We have now been here over two years and are completely frustrated with the lack of staff response and lack of maintenance. The noise from slamming doors and rude neighbors is ridiculous, especially with the ever increasing high price of the rent. The grounds, including filthy parking lot, weeds, dying plants, general trash and oil spots from cars is unacceptable, especially with the high right being paid. Prior staff were outstanding but since we've lost Nicole, Brittany, Wendy, Josh and Brian, this place might as well be in disgusting Portland. We are tired of being blown off by staff regarding noise issues and bugs in our apartment.

submitted by Lynne B. - |Recommended: NoNOISY OH YES — Between slamming doors, inconsiderate neighbors and the adjacent steel factory which we were not told about when applying for an apartment sleep is extremely elusive here. The office staff, while pleasant, is a revolving door. Asking for help with an extremely noisy neighbor and their banned breed dog went nowhere. While the maintenance staff is usually responsive and helpful, it is short staffed and we went 14 days without a working fridge. The office treated this real inconvenience with indifference and empty promises. The newly instituted method for rent utility payments is a convenience ONLY for Sequoia Grove and not for the tenants.

submitted by Crystal T. - |Recommended: YesI love it — The staff are ALWAYS friendly and very prompt to answer questions. Our maintenance requests have been resolved in 24 hours. They're in and out with out disrupting anything. We'd never know they were there save for the fact that we requested the maintenance repairs. It feels very private, which is pretty rare with apartment living. My only complaint is the noise, and that could just be our upstairs neighbors more than the insulation or build of the apartments

submitted by Zachary Z. - |Recommended: NoOverpriced and Overvalued. Much too expensive for what is offered. — I would tell them to keep looking for another place to live. When I first came to live here, I was sold on the gated community, new appliances, and the fact that there would be a continually upgraded complex. However I have found nothing but an increased rent, with no upgrade to the complex or my unit whatsoever. I have found that the gate itself is worthless, as almost anyone can follow another car in without the need for a fob key. And I have found that the appliances, window shades, closet and pantry shelving, electrical outlets, and just about everything that came with the apartment are cheap and shoddy. Overall I am very disappointed with this complex and the great disparity between the money I spend monthly on rent and the actual value of what I am paying for. I will be searching for another place to live that offers me more for my money and will not be renewing my lease next time around.

Starting to see a decline with landscape maintenance and over all appearance of complex and enforcing tenants responsibilities. Vehicles that drip motor fluids mud etc. in unassigned parking spots. Dog poop being left in flower beds and sidewalks. Unreasonable amount of noise from neighbors during regular day time hours. Vehicles stored in vacant parking spots for extended periods of time with not being moved. Also tenants jumping over the fence to get to the Fred Meyers property. The garbage valet not picking up all bags of garbage from the provided container left by ones door. This is an on going problem have reported in the past and still occurs. Plus we pay a mandatory fee for this service. Tenants using grocery store carts to bring groceries home and leave cart by gated trash bins and not returning the cart back to store. I could go on but I think this is enough said.

By the way, maybe you could put out a memo that asks people to STOP SLAMMING DOORS- my door seems to close just fine without slamming it. I feel like I'm living in a Motel 6. It is bad enough I can hear everything through the paper thin walls including the guy on the other side who must move his piano every night. ....

When addressing noise issues, we maintain confidentiality at all times and do not mention the reporting apartment numbers or resident names when issuing courtesy calls or violations regarding noise.
